Due to team management enjoying a mountain retreat this review was of secundary importance to us. Quite fitting to the season we had in which in which the number two predominated. We managed to score a whooping 14 second places in races throughout the season. Alot of those seconds were in races we aimed or hoped to win.
So not it seemed not so glorious, certainly with the first two classics (Alpe and ZBZ) turned out in failures. The same thing happened to our two talents from last season. So they left the team in the first part of the season. We tried again at the end of the season with two new talents. Both of them are premature maxers, one of them real badly, so destined to leave during season 61.
Was it all bad then. Certainly not as two of our riders managed to win a huge races for the second time. Rashad Abul-Karim was victorious again 10 seasons after his first win at the Drozd Cup. A great way to say goodbye and stop his carreer on a high. Sergei Tereshchenko managed to grab his second Vuelta victory, proving he is a rider to watch out for. Huge wins that gave a nice shine to season 60 after all.
